We believe music is a gift from God, and we use it to glorify Him and invite His presence into our lives. Our worship is a grateful response for who God is, what He’s like, and what He’s done—and a faith-filled expectation for what He’s going to do. As we gather together, our desire is to be challenged by His Word and transformed by His presence.

In many ways, our Worship & Production team minister to and shepherd the VCKC community into sacred moments where our hearts are open with voices proclaiming the goodness and grace of God.

Stage Manager Team

Stage managers are often the unseen support to musicians, a/v techs, and vocalists. In this role, you will assist musicians, technicians, and music directors in organizing stage props and instruments.

 

 

Hospitality Team

For musicians and technicians, there are often early call times, late-night rehearsals, and last-minute song arrangements that edge out their ability to comfortably eat or drink before they run to their next responsibility. The hospitality team on the Music and Production team provides refreshments for worship volunteers during rehearsals, weekend services, and special events.

 

Musicians Team

The responsibility of musicians isn’t confined to their appearance onstage. Typically, there is individual work to be done to prepare songs that fall outside of time spent onstage at church. Musicians at Vineyard Church Kansas City are responsible for preparing songs selected by the worship leader prior to attending rehearsal. Service times vary depending on the ministry.

 

Media Tech

When a slide doesn’t change on time for the next line of lyrics to appear, no one is more keenly aware of the error than the media tech. It takes focus and knowledge of the presenting software to advance graphics like lyrics or Scripture verses or illustrations according to the prompts of people on stage. As a Media Tech, you will manage media items for services, and operate ProPresenter to display lyric slides, sermon notes, and other visual elements.

 

Camera Operator

Video capture, live streaming, and video displays are commonplace for churches in the 21st Century. A VCKC Camera Operator will capture video of services for viewing at campuses and online.

 

Audio Engineer

Audio engineering is one of the most important aspects of Worship & Production. Arguably more than any other element of a worship service, sound balancing, disruption, and distortion are often the most recognized and distracting aspects for church attendees. It’s an important role and one that the VCKC Worship & Production Team are proud to perform with excellence.

As an Audio Engineer, you will work with the worship team to mix audio during services.

 

Worship Leader

Worship Leaders steer the worship team and the congregation through the worship set, setting the tone and energy for the biblical message to come.

Worship Leaders are responsible for planning worship sets, scheduling band members, directing rehearsals, and leading worship during weekend services and various other church ministries.

 

Video Director

When multiple cameras are used in services, it’s necessary to have someone viewing the camera feeds and placing them in appropriate locations throughout the VCKC campus. As the Video Director, you’ll actively switch camera feeds to produce our online service and stream to lobby TVs.

 

 

Live-Stream Moderator

Vineyard Church Kansas City is excited to provide online streaming for those unable to attend services in person. As part of online streaming, discussion chats are available for the community among online watchers. The Live-Stream Moderator works with the tech team to host and moderate online discussions and participation in the live stream of our weekend service for the web and social media. produce our online service and stream to lobby TVs.

Lead worship song motions during our Kids experience on Sunday mornings and other events. (Kids ministry training required)

 

 

School of the Arts Music Instructors

VCKC has a thriving community of musicians in our School of the Arts. Anyone aged seven to adult of any skill level are welcome to take lessons through our school. If you’re an experienced musician who also is an experienced music instructor, we invite you to apply to serve in the Vineyard Church Kansas City School of the Arts.
