WORSHIP PASTOR

The Worship Pastor is the church’s location leader responsible for creating a meaningful worship experience for all services and events at VCKC.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Primary Worship Leader for weekend services & church-wide events at VCKC
· Collaborate w/ Executive Pastor team regarding worship services and events at VCKC
· Prepare songs, arrangements, and charts for worship services.
· Rehearse worship teams for weekend services and events.
· Lead and oversee all aspects of worship services, ensuring a spiritually enriching and engaging experience.
· Direct and coordinate worship teams, including vocalists, musicians, and technical support, fostering a collaborative and cohesive environment.
· Provide pastoral care and spiritual guidance to worship team members.
· Collaborate with other church leaders to align worship services with the overall vision and mission of the church.
· Develop and implement creative elements in worship services, such as visual media, to enhance the worship experience.
· Foster a culture of worship that encourages active participation, reflection, and connection with the Lord.
· Organize and lead rehearsals, ensuring excellence in musical performance and a spirit of unity among team members.
· Support the overall pastoral ministry of the church, in events, pastoral care, and community outreach.

AUDIO/VISUAL TECHNICIAN

The Audio/Visual Technician will oversee live and recorded audio production during weekly worship services, broadcasts and various other special events. Ensure all facilities/campuses and ministires can utilize technology, effectively and strategically in order to enchance the expereince of those attending.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Live Technical
· Support the vision, mission and goals of VCKC by overseeing and coordinating all aspects of live technical production including, but not limited to audio, video, lighting, staging, live feeds, recordings, power and
rigging.
· Engineer sound at VCKC for all weekend services
· Engineer sound for all special events
· Recruit and train volunteers to effectively run and operate sound and lighting for various classes and
events
· Troubleshoot/maintain and diagnoses/fix audio lighting equipment

Stage Preparation
· Prepare stages for rehearsals, weekly services, and special events as needed
· Set up/tear down/repositioning of equipment
· Patching of lines to console
· Programming of lighting scenes, resets/aiming of lights
· Patching and pre-programming of consoles
· Manage necessary input lists, state plots, etc.

Liaison & Mentorship
· Serve as liaison between Worship Ministry and other ministries needing A/V/L
· Meet regularly with team to grow, train and cast vision
· Attend weekly worship evaluation and logistic meeting
· Monthly training meetings with various teams
· Seasonal/Special Event planning meetings as assigned

Volunteer & Staff Management
· Recruit, train, develop and oversee Production Teams and personnel
· Schedule Production Teams for VCKC services and special events using Planning Center Online

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

· Expert knowledge of audio systems and large-format digital consoles
· Knowledge of Allen and Heath audio consoles a plus
· Familiarity with personal monitoring (i.e. ME1) and digital audio networks (i.e. DANTE)
· Familiarity with Pro Tools, Logic and other digital recording software
· Ability to train and oversee volunteers on operation of equipment
· Detailed knowledge of broadcast of worship services
· Detailed knowledge of video cameras and recording/editing software
· Broadcast switcher of multiple cameras
· Keyed computer-graphics (lower thirds)
· Presentation software (ProPresenter, PowerPoint, etc.)
· Detailed knowledge of projectors, displays and video transmission
· Detailed knowledge of “live” streaming technologies
· Ability to learn and master new technology quickly and thoroughly
· Expert knowledge of A/V/L signal flows and a strong ability to troubleshoot in all of these environments
· Demonstrate ongoing proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Planning Center
· Exhibit flexibility and aptitude in learning new or unfamiliar tools that may be incorporated into the workflow.
· Able to remain focused & on-task in a highly creative and interactive environment in close proximity of co-workers
· Able to listen attentively and verbalize effectively to ensure that the intended meaning, feeling, focus and details
of issues, events and collateral pieces are communicated with excellence.
· Able to process feedback, criticism and change requests with a positive attitude and diplomacy. Requires good conflict resolution skills and great customer service/people skills. Must exhibit flexibility and responsiveness to
last minute requests, emergencies and changing needs.
· Must be organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Able to create solutions for obstacles when they present themselves and provide suggestions to peers/supervisor when necessary to accomplish the desired objective.
