Finding Courage and Trust in God Through Joshua’s Story
Welcome to our series on the life of Joshua that we have called “Wherever You Go.” These groups are designed to deepen your understanding of one of the most courageous leaders in all of Scripture.
Joshua’s story is not just about battles or conquests, it is about learning to trust God’s presence, power, and promises in the face of overwhelming challenges. From standing at the edge of the Jordan River to marching around the walls of Jericho, Joshua’s journey shows us what it means to follow God with obedience.
As we walk through Joshua’s story, we will see that it is not ultimately about Joshua’s strength, but about God’s faithfulness.
Joshua was told by God, “This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9, NLT)
That same promise exists for us today. No matter where life leads—whether there is uncertainty, opposition, or new beginnings—God’s presence always goes before us.
As you participate in these discussions, my hope is that you will discover fresh courage, deeper trust, and a renewed closeness with Jesus, who is with you wherever you go.
